Recodify ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services at recodify.dev.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic Google profile information (name, profile picture). We do not receive your Google password.

Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the service - pages scanned, reports generated, and feature usage - to improve the product and enforce plan limits.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or full payment details. Stripe provides us with a tokenized representation for billing purposes.

Website data you submit. When you enter a URL for analysis, we crawl that URL to generate an audit report. We do not permanently store the full content of third-party websites beyond what is needed to generate your report.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • -To send transactional emails (e.g., receipts, account notifications)

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Recodify:

Supabase. Authentication and database storage. Your account data is stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure.

Stripe. Payment processing for subscriptions and one-time credit packs. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.

Google AI (Gemini). AI-powered website analysis and report generation. Website content you submit for analysis may be processed by Google AI models.

Vercel. Hosting and infrastructure. Vercel may log request metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of normal server operation.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Audit reports and fix reports are retained to allow you to re-access them within the service. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., payment records).

5. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics (Vercel Analytics) collects aggregate, anonymized usage data with no cross-site tracking.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also delete your account directly from your dashboard settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Recodify is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
